Dr. Amee Majmundar has been in private practice for many years. She is part of the medical staff at two well-known Chicago suburban hospitals. These include Palos Community Hospital in Palos Heights and Advocate Christ Medical Center/Hope Children's Hospital in Oak Lawn.
As a Chicagoan, Dr. Amee Majmundar received her medical degree at the University of Chicago Prtizker School of Medicine. She completed her residency training in internal medicine and fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. She is board certified in Pediatric and Adult Allergy & Immunology as well as Internal Medicine.
Dr. Amee Majmundar has been trained by experts in the fields of immunotherapy and drug allergy, and has incorporated these advancements into her practice. An expert herself, she has given multiple lectures on food allergies, and published articles on childhood asthma, and allergic disease.
On a personal note, Dr. Amee is fluent in the Spanish Language and is an accomplished musician.
Dr. Majmundar has a special interest in pediatric and adult asthma. She is actively involved with the American College of Allergy Immunology Nationwide Asthma Screening Program and performs free asthma screenings to the local community each year. Dr. Majmundar is an active member of multiple national and regional allergy organizations, including the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the Illinois State Allergy Asthma and Immunology Society. Dr. Majmundar is an advocate for those with asthma. She never stops helping you gain control over your asthma symptoms.
